Here's help for not being able to register "Something went wrong"

So I was having issues registering my new router to my account due to the unhelpful "Something went wrong.  Please contact support" error.  Having searched the forums I was unable to find an answer so I flailed around a bit. 

 

Turns out that my issue was because my profile didn't have a country filled in.  That apparently became required sometime after I created my account and registered my first product.

 

So hoping to save someone else from an aggrivating evening:

1:  Go to the "My Profile" section and make sure everything is filled in properly

2:  Make sure you validate your email address from the email you were sent when registering.  It seems you can actually log in without doing so.

3:  The site seems a little wonky about special characters in email addresses and passwords.  For passwords only !@#$%^&*() are allowed.
