Re: Here we go again

It's frequently renewing LAN IP address for the device. Set a static IP for the device and also set a static WAN IP for the router itself

Re: Here we go again

Do you have a IP address reservation set for the game console? This is recommended.

Is the console wireless or wired to the router?

Beamforming enabled. Disable MIMO. IF you see Fast Roaming or 802.11k, disable this. Maybe found under router IP/debug.htm

What MFr and model# ISP modem is the XR router connected too?

Re: Here we go again

When you did the FW update, did you download the FW file then apply it then continue? Or did you do a factory reset and setup from scratch? You might do a factory reset and set up from scratch.

I would power OFF the modem for 30 seconds then back on, then do the factory reset and setup from scratch.

Don't worry about the suggestions for wireless I meantioned. That would be if the console was wireless connected.

If after doing the reset and setup from scratch doesn't solve this, I would revert back to prior working FW version.

Re: Here we go again

Was the reset done with the back button or thru the routers web page? I like using the web page...

Ensure you clear out all browser caches after triggering the reset as well, exit the browser then re-launch it.

Try using IE11, FF or Opera.

Re: Here we go again

WAN and LAN reservations? If it occurred when upgrading to the new firmware go back to the old firmware and see if the issue occurs again please. Also disable IPv6 in Advanced Settings.

Re: Here we go again

When you do a reset and setup from scratch, I would also change the default LAN IP address pool to 192.168.1 100 to .150 or .200.

Then set up IP address reservations for your devices and the xbox.

I would also do a hard reset on the game console as well. Hold the power button on the front untill it shuts off. Do a IP address reservation on the router, save changes then reboot. Then power ON the xbox.

Re: Here we go again

Just leave the WAN at Dynamic. Unless your ISP supports giving there customers Static IP addresses, which most don't, leave the router Dynamic DHCP.

Re: Here we go again

Firmware 1.0.1.2 and 1.0.1.8 are not stable.  WAN/Internet drops are prominent.  Only workaround that I have found is to just downgrade to 1.0.0.20.  It is a stable firmware version.
