How am I supposed to test bufferbloat? (XR500 router)
So my router was completely reset due to some issues and I don't even recall how I had it set up before.
But basically, I'm having inconsistent gun fights in Call of Duty and when I research issues with bufferbloat on here, there are all these comments saying that we shouldn't use or trust DSLReports' bufferbloat test.
So how do I test my settings to be sure the router is running optimally?
Also, could someone please help me set up a static IP? I forwarded ports for Call of Duty but occasionally my building loses power and I sometimes find the PS4 reconnects to a different IP address.
Please advise
Thanks

I'd recommend upgrading to the 3.0 beta where you can use the Connection Benchmark feature and together with Congestion Control get your Ping Under Load down as much as possible. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-DumaOS-3-0/bd-p/en-home-beta-npg-duma
Go to LAN Settings and reserve an IP for the console.
