How do I transfer my IoT devices from a Linksys router to the Netgear XR1000?

The XR1000 was not in the list.
Good day,
I have the Linksys wrt1900AC, about 20 IoT devices installed on Google home, laptop and desktop and a repeater. Recently I added IPTV with an Android box. My ISP is Xplornet.
All devices works well except for the IPTV. I have to reset the modem and the router 3 times a day.
I bought the Netgear XR1000 thinking it might offer better functionnality and more stable.
Before doing the switch: All my devices are logged on the linksys wit the linksys network name and WiFi password.
I was thinking to configure the Netgear router with the same Linksys name and password...will it work? Will the switch be transparent?
Thank you for your help...
François

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk Gaming Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NH gaming router products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

As long as you use the same SSID and password from the prior router on the this router, your devices should auto reconnect.
Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.

Thank you all.
...most of my IoT WiFi LED light, outlet switches etc...works fine after the transfer. Only the Google mini and the Google display lost the network connection. I had to re-enter the same SSID and password.
It was minimum effort. Thank you

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
