Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Thanks for posting, I'm unable to see your first screenshot as yet, are you able to attach it as a file instead?
Could you also please let me know which version of DumaOS you're running?

Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Do you what that device is? Given that there's an 'unblock' button and the device is showing as a different colour in your device manager, that would suggest that it has been succesfully blocked. What evidence have you seen that's it is not blocked, is it still able to access the internet?

Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Hi Liam
all I could see was the macaddress , there is about 40 odd family connections so I cant go check individually but what was strange is that connection even though blocked was using bandwidth , I have since then changed the password and see that this device is trying to connect but no bandwidth is being used it , also what weird is that as per screenshot this device had one macaddress and miltiple IPs , i thought it was a device connected to the extender but i can literally see all the devices that connect to the wifi extender , thanks again for your time @Netduma-Liam

Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Hi Guys , no luck with that (no vendor) but yesterday that connection was present but not actually consuming bandwidth (after i had changed the password) , so this morning it was actually disconnected and i deleted , but i mean is there a way maybe the duma os can block by macaddress maybe , this is pretty weird this scenario

Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Currently Device Manager does actually use the MAC address to block a device. What was the reason for blocking the device originally, because it was an unknown device to you?

Re: I cant block a connection on my XR500
Hi Guys
ok so MAC cant be blocked
The original reason for blocking is that I couldnt confirm who this MAC belongs to on the property
but 2 days ago I blocked it but then it was still using bandwidth like 12MB/s but it didnt block
Then I reset the password and I see that it is connected but no bandwidth usage as of yet and it is blocked
So like now Im just monitoring it to see if this blocked MAC starts consuming data again.
The connection name I changed to UNKOWN ISSUE as in pic attached
May we leave this thread open for 2 days for monitoring purposes please.
No IPs currently show up on MAC address
Thanks again Gents !!
