Netgear XR1000 - Using Bridge Mode
Hello,
Recently changed broadband providers and got a modem/router that can use bridge mode. However whenever I put it into bridge mode via the modems gateway, I'm unable to get internet on to my Netgear. I initially get all three white lights confirming I have internet access but when I actually then connect to the Netgear router, it kicks me off of the network and when I reconnect, I'm unable to get internet. I have connected the modem to Netgear router via ethernet cable.
After putting the modem into bridge mode, I have turned on/off both equipment.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Netgear XR1000 - Using Bridge Mode
Try leaving it (the providers modem/router) in router mode and disable its wifi. Then put the netgears IP address into its dmz. That should accomplish the same thing
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Thank you. Seems to have worked and the NAT seems to be staying open.
