Hi I don’t have a modem but want to get the XR500 gaming router how do I set it up in Australia without a modem since I’ve only used modem routers in the past would I have to put a modem router into single input mode and plug it in or would it work without it can someone who uses this router in Australia please help me

IF you have a modem with built in router then you have a couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem.

You will need either an existing modem/router in order to get internet through the XR500. It is only a router so you could not plug it directly into the wall for a connection.
