Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
Heyo, I bought my XR500 a good while ago, but the last few months I've had a really annoying issue where the IPv4 portion of the network, seemingly just dies, and doesn't come back until I reboot the router.
Doing a ping test to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 (My preferred DNS servers) show both working just fine.
IPv6 is totally untouched and works perfectly.
And when I do a tracert to check where it dies, its always seemingly outside my network.
Last thing log said before I presume everything went wrong was "DHCP lease change." only other time I found it in the logs was just 1 minute before the last one.

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
Basically when it happens, I can't use anything that is IPv4 only, for example sites like Reddit and Google, which have IPv6 addresses, I can access. But basically everything else like discord and duckduckgo, are inaccessible.
I confirmed this by checking test-ipv6.com, where it would show IPv6 address but no IPv4 address on all my devices, and doing a ping to google DNS would work but not much else.
It could be my ISP, but why I don't think so is because the issue gets resolved when I reboot the router.

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
I'm not sure how to reproduce the issue to be honest, from what I know it just happens randomly.
I can provide my full log or wait for it happen again?

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
It took a while but it has happened again, this time it showed the internet LED as orange, I re plugged the ethernet cable which provides internet but no luck. Only a reboot fixed it.
Log is under, LAN access remote is most likely my friends connecting to my minecraft server. As soon as I login is when it has died.

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
That sounds like it may be a different issue I'm afraid, as you had to reboot the XR, the logs were cleared. Is that the full log file that you could see or was there any more?
Has it done this before, where it's lost connection and the WAN LED goes orange? Or is this the first time?

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
The log file was way bigger but I could not send it due to the 20k character limit.
This is the first time it has simply refused the connection until a reboot, first time it has shown WAN as disconnected as well. The other times it has been refusing to connect me to any IPv4 site as shown in the above messages.

Re: Netgear xr500 ipv4 seemingly stops working randomly
In case it occurs again, can you please go to Settings -> Setup -> LAN Setup.
Then, set the minimum DHCP value 192.168.1.100.
Then, reserve IP addresses for each device on the network. Give them an IP address between 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.99.
Then, see if the issue occurs again.
