Nethawk XR300 slow speed using ONT direct connection

It seems that I have experienced the "100Mb/s" limit problem on WAN PORT. I am using XR300 with PPPoE configuration with fiber ONT directly connected to WAN port.

QoS is disabled. IPv6 is disabled. Latest firmware upgraded.

Tried also another setup with gigabit switch between router and ONT - no luck. Still 100Mb/s

VLAN is enabled and set to 35/0 (with other setttings I cannot connect).

Mirroring WAN to LAN1 does not work (cannot connect to ONT).

It seems that is it a router hardware issue. My old Asus connects perfectly stable and fast (up to 600Mb/s). Any ideas? Or should I just return it and look for another router?

In the Device Manager go to the table view, does it show the WAN port limited to 100Mbps?

Re: Nethawk XR300 slow speed using ONT direct connection

It is 1Gb (with or without network switch between ONT and router):

WAN nil nil 1000Mbits

I think debug log also confirms as far as i understand:

==========================Internet IPv4/IPv6 connection debug log==============================
0 days 00:00:36, 1000M/Full
0 days 00:14:40, Link Down
0 days 00:15:11, 1000M/Full

And passing through WAN connection through another router "solves" the situation. Not the solution most people will look for... Why the WAN port is so darn slow when using PPPoE with ONT? Or maybe it is ppp deamon?

Thanks for the workaround, either PPPoE or VLAN must be causing that. I'll pass this on to the NG team and see if there is anything they can do.

It seems that I am not the only one to have this issue. When Netgear will address this?

Re: Nethawk XR300 slow speed using ONT direct connection

We're working on the 3.0 update for this router so should be resolved then.
