Seriously!

UPnP mode is still broken and won't enable for the past two years, and you decided to add two features when there's a lot of issues that are broken that been left unpatched for the past two year. When is UPnP going to be fixed? Geo-Filter doesn't work because i just played a COD lobby and lined a search area with 35ms selected with ping assist and I'm still getting put in 50+ lobbies with fast search turned off.

The old issues need to be fixed before we start new adding features.

Since installing the latest firmware, did you factory reset the XR1000? If not, I'd suggest doing so. After installing the latest firmware and factory resetting I've not been able to reproduce the issue of UPnP not enabling/disabling.

"NOTE: It's recommended to factory reset and setup from scratch after applying FW updates if problems are seen."

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

Yes, after the update I factory reset my XR1000. As I always do.

Redid all my settings and drew a line of my search area in geo-filter inside North Dakota and did about a 700 mile radius. Fast search toggled off with QOS Toggled Off.

I was still getting into lobbies outside my search radius. It's not blocking anything outside the search area.

Even QOS is still broken and won't enable.

Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please? What do you mean QoS won't enable exactly - can you provide a screenshot of that page as well please?

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

Posting this here for some testing results of the XR1000 on this version of FW and the Nighthawk app.

CAX80 modem mode. 1Gb/50Mbps ISP service

Default DCHP IP address pool range: 192.168.1.100 thru .200

Smart Connect and AX mode enabled

Manual Channels 1 and 40.

Beamforming and MIMO enabled.

40Mhz co-existence only on 2.4Ghz.

QoS enabled. Sliders both at 99% since I only game at night.

Nighthawk app on iPhone 12 pro max iOS 16:

NHappSpeedTestiPhone.PNG

2nd test after capturing this data got even worse: 372 on the down.

I'll check again later this evening. I presume this maybe a NH app speed test or the router picking a slower test site?

I get over 900Mpbs with the same NH app and iPHone and a RAX series router connected to same modem

Ooklas app on iPHone 12 pro max iOS 16:

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

OK cool, so it appear to be wireless that's the problem right?

Can you replicate the same slower speeds through multiple wireless devices?

On the iPhone, can you go to the Wi-Fi settings, click the (i) icon next to the XR's Wi-Fi network and disable private addresses. Then check if the speeds are any better?

Could be. Seems like the NH app maybe picking slower servers to test with from the XR router as the iPhone is getting to spec speeds using Ooklas speed test app.

And to compare with a different router using the NH speed test app: RAX series router

I'll see what I have to test with.

Keep us posted, if it's the same on multiple devices but the actual speedtest app does give you better results then it will likely be the servers it's selecting for some reason.

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

OK so I have a iPad 6th gen iOS 15.6.1

NH app reports 473 on the down and 52 on the up. Nothing higher.

IMG_0067.PNG

Ooklas app reports 504 on the down and 52 on the up.

IMG_0069.PNG

I presume wireless support mabye limiting on the pad 2x2? So maybe topping out with the Ookla app.

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

So a bit of a mix then between the servers chosen and the capability of the device it seems

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

I presume. Not sure of the full capabilities of the ipad. I presume may not have same capabilities as my iPhone 12 pro max. Still seems to be a contention between the app and choice of test servers running from with in the XR.

Just updating this, I did see 10+ days of uptime today on the XR1000 but as soon as I left to run an errand and came back home, we had a power bump. Dang it. LOL Last capture of uptime was at 7+days:

Router is working well. Though I have disabled the wifi radios on it and connected a Orbi 9 series in AP mode. 😁

It's almost been a year since this last update, any news on when/if there will be another?

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

This FW was released back in April. Hasn't been a year yet.

Hoping for something new.

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

Last night I upgraded from a XR500 to an XR1000 (third times the charm). I am having great internet speeds but now/still cant get IPV6 on any xbox in the house.

Cable Modem: Nighthawk CM 2000

Modem: XR1000

COX internet gigablast 40 up 900 down, ping17 (DHCP and provides IPV6)

XR500: horrible internet speeds wired and wifi. 60 mbs wifi and 500 wired. However QOS, geo filter and IPV6 worked.

XR1000: Internet is no longer an issue. However 2.5ghz seems week to me still. I think its antenna issue, but will put that aside for now.

- IPV6 does not work on any xbox in house. IPV4 only moderate. With QOS on and off, geo filter on/off, wired or wireless.

- Must have UPNP on now for XR1000. Before I did not need it on.

-IPV6 auto detect, auto config and DHCP. No joy for IPV6 on xbox. However IPV6 test works on PC.

-changed .100 to .200.

Set NAT to Open in WAN Settings, perhaps the firewall is blocking it

Does it work for other PCs as well and therefore purely affecting just the consoles?

Re: New - XR1000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.64 Released

If I run a IPV6 test on PC it says is working. Do you have a method for me to check.
