NightHawk XR500 Not connect last update framavare
Good afternoon. Turning on the router, I received a new update for it. Following the message about the need for updates, I updated it. After updating the router, I found that my Internet speed fell by two. Calling my provider and reporting a problem. My provider tested the connection and found that during testing it was found out that out of 8 wires of the Internet cable, two pairs were not dialed. They suggested turning on the cable directly to the PC bypassing the router. Having done so, it turned out that all four pairs are phoned and all 8 cable cores are working. And my speed corresponds to my tariff of 1 gigabyte. By turning on the router, the speed does not rise above 100 megabytes. That is, the problem is updating the router. The provider advised me to restart the router. Reset to factory settings. That's exactly what I did. Then a fatal problem occurred. Now, after starting the router and trying to access the Internet. By the link 192.168.1.1 I see a red screen which should be replaced by a greeting and further configuration of the router. But this does not happen. The router does not display a welcome screen. I see only the screen. When I try to make settings through the application from the phone. At the last stage, a message pops up. Something went wrong. I tried to reboot the router. Delete the application itself from the phone more than once. All the same. The router does not let me into the settings. I consider this a critical error of the last router update. I called more than once. I really asked for help from you. You have left Russia. There is no help in Russian for managers. As a buyer, I am entitled to a guarantee. She has not expired yet. I strongly insist that you fulfill your warranty obligations with respect to my purchased router. You must comply with the warranty to the buyer. No matter what. I bought the product. I am waiting for the full fix of the router. Or replace it with a brand new one. I am very respectful to you. I ask you to resolve this issue in a short time. I can’t be without a router.

I'm sorry to hear you've had so many problems with your XR500, i'll try to help as best I can.
Firstly, I would suggest resetting the router using the reset button on the back. You will need to hold a pen or a pin in the hole until the light on the front of the router turns orange.
Once you have reset, I would suggest downloading the previous firmware: https://kb.netgear.com/000060464/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-3-2-40
Then when the router is started again, disable automatic updates (click I Disagree on the firmware update page) and then upload the firmware you just downloaded. Hopefully this will restore the speeds until we can figure out what's wrong with the latest version.
