I have a Nighthawk XR1000 with the latest firmware 1.0.0.64_1.0.49. When I bought it, it was 2 firmware revisions behind this one.
When I look at the CPU usage in the DumaOS dashboard or System Information, CPU2 is always idle. CPU0 and CPU1 can be maxed out and CPU2 is still idle. What gives? I assume this is by design. What is CPU2 used for?

Yes it is by design, it is dedicated to packet acceleration so you're unlikely to ever see that % change
