Dear all, first post and hoping for some advice. Let me say I know very little about this sort of thing. I am an avid FIFA player but suffer with ping issues. I typically achieve 34-40ms in most games I play and looking to improve this. Will the XR500 help with this? I have poor internet 8mbps download. I play wired only (to my sky hub) and have recently taken additional steps of setting a static IP, DMZ and forwarding ports as well using DNS. It's helped but basically hoping the XR500 will help further? Any thoughts really welcomed!
The answer is likely yes, but could you answer these questions please? - Where abouts are you located, the UK? - What ping do you get on Speedtest.net? - Are you measuring that ping from in game? - How many devices are connected to the hub at any one time? - Do you often get buffering on videos/streams etc?
