Re: Nighthawk

What problem are you having?

What router are you using?

Firmware on that router?

What modem are you on?

Maybe explain exactly what you're trying to do and why you're trying to do so. This will let us to help you better.

Re: Nighthawk

The router I am using is the AC2400 and the modem is the AC1900

The problem that im having is that when I try to play any of the call of duty games my NAT type is set to strict instead of open.

Re: Nighthawk

Neither of which are model numbers. But from the sound of it you're in a double nat. Is the router in ap mode or the modern in passthrough mode?

Re: Nighthawk

What specific devices are you using? AC2400 and AC1900 are speeds, not models.

Firmare on them?

What are you playing call of duty on?

PS4, Xbox, Pc?

And is it wireless/wired, how is it connected?

And then is it connected via the AP device (which is?) or the primary router?

Is it the only game with issues?

Re: Nighthawk

Model numbers for these are
Modem : C7000v2
Router : Ac2400

Playing on my Pc
Wired connection from my router the Nighthawk Ac2400 model
Its the only game where I can see the NAT type im assuming the other games are perhaps also encountering this issue.
As for the firmware for the modem its
V1.03.01

And for the router it is
V1.2.0.62_1.0.1

so the R6700v2 is in AP mode?

Is the pc directly connected to the R6700?

and thats hardwired to the C7000?

Is it causing an issue during gaming?

Re: Nighthawk

Yes the pc is connected directly to the R6700v2 and the R6700v2 is connected directly to the modem. It does cause lag issues when Im going and have noticed that games take longer to find.

Re: Nighthawk

If the R6700 is in ap mode, there shouldn't be much to adjust on it. Theres a few settings on the C7000 that might help but a lot depends on what works best for that specific game, you could check that games forum for tips.
