Re: Probelm with XR500 and IPTV
Helloy, that did not work, I had no Connection because the Vodafone Station is only set as a "Modem" and not as a router because of "Double-NAT". I have devices which should be accessible from outside - so the VF Station has to be configured as a "modem" .

Re: Probelm with XR500 and IPTV
You don't need to set it in modem mode, you can put it in router mode then put the XR WAN IP in its DMZ and that will resolve the NAT issue

Sorry, I can't follow you. What do you mean with
"You don't need to set it in modem mode"?
What I don't set in modem mode? Do you mean "router mode?

You said the Vodafone Station is in modem mode, you can put that in router mode then put the XR WAN IP in the Vodafone DMZ and that will allow you to have an Open NAT. You can then see if you have the same issue and if you do then you can try putting the XR in AP mode to see if it still happens.

Re: Probelm with XR500 and IPTV
O.K., I got you. But WAN IP in DMZ ist insecure (for langer time).

Re: Probelm with XR500 and IPTV
In this case there is no security risk. The XR has it's own firewall, if you DMZ'd a device without a firewall or any security measures, that could be insecure.
