Problem connecting to wifi with the newest firmware V1.0.1.38 on xr700

Having problem connecting my Oneplus 8 Pro to the wifi after updating the xr700 to firmware version 1.0.1.38

Its trying to obtain ip adress but is failing.

 

Only way to connect is to manually input dns server.

 

Tried downgrading the xr700 firmware and then it is working again.

Also my xiamoi security cam is not able to connect to wifi anymore

Did you perform a factory reset after the upgrade? This is often required as it clears anything low-level left after the old version

Yes, I did a factory reset, also I found out that the issue is not reletadet to only wifi becouse my wired lg smart tv is having the same problem.

I get the error message "DNS not found"

 

But when i downgrade firmware its working.

 

So in short   Oneplus 8 pro = not working (can maually input dns server and then its working)
                    xiamoi security cam = not working

                    Lg smart tv(wired) = not working

                    Win 10 computer = working

                    Arlo = working

 

Have tried factory reset, hard reset, restart of both fiber media converter and xr700 router.

Are you using Smart Connect for WiFi? Some devices have trouble connecting with that method. Have you set custom DNS?

Netgear Nighthawk XR700 Gaming Router AD7200 Performance WiFi (-100EUS). Firmware V1.01.38.

My new router is continuously dropping my connection via WiFi and LAN.

Please, provide immediate help and support to solve this problem.

Tested and Verified with other router without any problems. Paid 500€ one would expect to get a high quality product that will work in reliable manner. How to trust to company asks high prices you would expect at least the basic functional requirements are met. Maybe customer satisfaction has got a new meaning..

Sorry to hear that!

 

Are you able to access the interface when the connection drops? 

Does the connection come back up eventually itself, or do you need to reboot the router to restore connectivity?

What is the exactly make and model of your modem?

the connection comes back up eventually itself. No need to reboot the router. Please, see enclosed photo for model (Netgear XR700-100EUS). During my important online customer meetings, the connection is continuously dropping off. Hopefully you are able to give help and support with my problem?!

Liam was asking what the model is of the modem/router the XR700 is connected to. Give your devices (start with the most important) reserved IP address in LAN Settings and see if they sustain a connection
