Random Lag spikes/disconnects throughout day
Bought this router a couple of weeks ago and ever since I get random lag spikes that disable my internet/freeze games for a good 20-30 seconds. It's terrible and baffling to me how I paid $300 for a router that performs worse than a stock router from my ISP. I would really like to keep this router if this gets fixed but right now, I have nothing but disappointment with it.
My ISP is Spectrum, using the modem they gave me (maybe that's the problem?)
I have 1gb DL and 30mbps upload
My firmware version on DUMA OS is
V2.3.2.40 |
PLEASE HELP!

Re: Random Lag spikes/disconnects throughout day
I think I fixed it? I disabled QoS and so far no disconnects, but I've only tested it for 3 games so far.

Re: Random Lag spikes/disconnects throughout day
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
Is the game console connected wired or wireless to the XR router?

Re: Random Lag spikes/disconnects throughout day
That's odd, you shouldn't need to disable QoS to affect drop outs etc.
How has it been since? If you re-enable QoS, does it all work ok?
It's probably worth following our optimal QoS guide when you do re-enable it: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000077073-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-q...
