Settings for lowest latency?
I have an xr500 and a docsis 3.1 modem my isp provided to me, and I play xbox one on ethernet. I know that it’s recommended to use QOS and the geo-filter to help with latency and overall gaming connec...

What SPEED up and down do you pay for from your ISP?
What is the mfr and model # of the ISP modem your using?
I use 70/70 on my XR450. C7800 in modem only mode. 200/10 ISP service. Two game consoles online. sometimes at the same time.

Make sure you're playing via an ethernet cable but if not use 2.4GHz WiFi - not 5GHz and use the least congested channel.

I pay for 200/10, but usually when I do speed tests without QoS enabled I get around 230/12.
I'm not finding any mfr number, but the model number is Ubee E31U2V1. And like I said it's a docsis 3.1 modem, and my isp is spectrum.
- Netduma-FraserOct 29, 2019NetDuma PartnerDid you follow the guide to optimally set up the router? How are you getting on?
- droeswOct 29, 2019GuideYeah I used the optimal settings guide for QoS but all the other settings I left default as I heard they shouldn’t usually be messed with. I also just changed the channels for my wifi bases off of the channels my neighbors were using, but otherwise I haven’t changed much. I haven’t touched the geofilter because the game I primarily play has one dedicated server on the east coast and one on west, but it always automatically connect to the East server, so I’m assuming using the geofilter wouldn’t really affect me then, right?
