Slower Speed on Ethernet

I just installed the router and have noticed a problem. When running speed test from my wired PC, the speed is around 30 download. I currently have 100 from spectrum. Before switching the router out it was over 100, and now not close. Have reset the modem, have reset the router, have cleared my dns and arp cache on the pc. If i do a speed test on my phone, it comes up and shows 110, like it should. So not sure why the ethernet connection is slower.

  • Hi - it’s possible you have a faulty wire. Could you try these steps please:

First set your bandwidth to your expected speeds in Anti-Bufferbloat advanced options. Then set Anti-Bufferbloat to 'Never'.

Reset distribution on Bandwidth Allocation for both download & upload. Also make sure share excess for both download & upload on Bandwidth Allocation are checked (also in advanced options)

Then remove/disable any rules for Traffic Prioritization.

Redo the Speedtest . If you don't get your full speeds after that then disable QoS completely within Anti-Bufferbloat's settings and try again.

If it’s still slow, try a different Ethernet cable.

If the problem still persists, please contact Netgear’s 24/7 support and they will help: https://www.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx

Tried the above suggestions and speed test is still lower, between 30 and 40. will see about contacting support.
