Specific R8500 issues needing a NEW Router???
I own a Netgear R8500, Netgear EX700, and FS726TP switch and I am thinking of getting a new router because of some R8500 issues. The issues are:
1) Limit of fixed IP addresses you can do
2) Can no longer change name of item in the attached list
My uses are as follows:
1) I use the 10.0.0.0 to 10.0.0.200 IP range in a 2400 sq ft, one level, home
2) I have 18 directly attached devices (printers, computers, TVs and AV equipment) via a netgear managed FS726TP smart switch (Note: my home is completely wired for 25 ports)
3) I also have MANY wireless devices attached to 5Ghz (like phones, laptops and tablets)
4) I also have MANY wireless devices attached 2.4Ghz (like 25 smart home devices)
As of now, I can no longer fix the IP addresses of my smart home devices (I keep them separated for control sake) and for some reason
my R8500 will no longer allow me to rename my devices. I am VERY unhappy with this situation. I AM thinking of buying the new Wi-Fi 6 Netgear
is offering soon and I wanted to know if it will help my situation.
