Static IP

So I want my Static IP address set to only my laptop instead of all my devices, and I can't quite figure out how to do it. I tried to do a LAN setup because I thought that would work if I assigned my static IP address to my laptop, but it gave me an error message saying the IP address I gave was out of my pool range. Does anyone know a way to figure out how to only let my laptop run on my static IP address? Or to fix the LAN situation where it would accept my static IP address?

Re: Static IP

Lets clarify something. Static IP addresses are set ON devices. IP Reservations on set ON the router.

Reboot the router and the device your trying to set a IP reservation for.

Go into LAN setup and select ADD. Your device should be listed there. Select the check box on the row for it. It should fill in the bottom portion of this screen. I would use the IP address thats already given to the device. Select Save/ADD. Back on the LAN setup screen, select Apply. The IP address reservation should save and the next time the device is rebooted or reconnected to the router, the same IP address that was reserved on the router should be seein on the device.
