Unable to connect to any external FTP servers
Hi I have a really weird issue where my brand new PC build will not connect to ANY external FTP sites using any FTP software Filezilla, Cuteftp, WinSCP etc other PC's on the same network can connect and use external FTP sites just fine.
XR500 V2.3.2.56
When reconnecting my old router I can use the new PC build on any FTP site just fine, so the XR500 must be blocking connections somehow?
Here is a log from filezilla while trying to connect to one of my own external servers

the above log is what happens over and over on the new PC build
Is there any settings on the XR500 that could be causing this issue?
"just to repeat if I reconnect my old router I can connect and use any FTP site perfectly it's only when I use the XR500 I get the issues"
Any replies would be greatly appreciated

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to reply.
Sorry I should have stated that it is connected to a Virgin Media Superhub v3 that is in modem only mode, which works fine when connected to "other" brand routers.
So far this is the only issue I have noticed with this router, I find it very strange that it will not successfully connect to any of my webservers via FTP, SSH seems to work just fine however.
Also to note a few of my webservers use different FTP ports but I cannot connect successfully to any of them on my main PC which is hardwired to the XR500, I have even tried over WiFi and using a USB3 to gigabit ethernet adapter. My old PC can still connect to any of the servers without a single issue hardwired to the XR500 or by WiFi.
One last note I also have a netduma R1 which is connected to a BT Fibre Homehub and that can also connect to all my servers via FTP on my new and old PC without issue so it has to be something the XR500 is doing that is preventing me from using my own servers.

Could you try disabling QoS completely from the Anti-Bufferbloat menu please and see if that helps at all?
Hi thank you for taking the time to reply, however I have already disabled QoS and it made no difference whatsoever.
I am fully out of ideas how can one PC that is hardwired to the XR500 be able to connect and use all my external FTP servers just fine but another PC also hardwired to the XR500 have issues using any of them?
I have tried different, cables, network adapters, WiFi makes no difference but as soon as I remove the XR500 from the network and add any other router I have available I can connect and use all servers just fine.
I have even reset the XR500 to factory settings nothing helps.
Anything else I can try?

In WAN settings could you toggle IGMP Proxying please? This very well could be the cause.
I had that turned off but I have now tried it both on and back off again and it has made no difference, running out of ideas now tbh, it's a shame because I really do like the router.
