XR 500 Network map not showing wired xbox one x
I have tried to reach out to a couple others forums on here without any solutions. The only way I can get the xbox one x to show up is either rebooting, unplugging or flushing cloud. This issue has s...

I started this thread in January. Still not fixed. There is nothing that can be said on my disappointment with this issue. A gaming router that can see consoles and will not fix it. That is the issue. Also you lost a costumer. Once this thing breaks I am not going to get a netgear again.

I do not know that answer. Last night I reset settings on the router to factory. The only thing I changed was IPv6 which my provider COX communication supports. This is where I think the problem is with the router and xbox.

I turned IPv6 off and still same issue.
- Netduma-FraserJan 26, 2019NetDuma PartnerWould it be possible to give all your devices static IPs and then disable DHCP completely and see if it works then or do you have too many devices?
- jeremyg237Jan 26, 2019Luminary
That did not work as well.
- jeremyg237Jan 26, 2019Luminary
The only thing that works is unplugging the xbox now. Not eve flushing the cloud works.
- jeremyg237Jan 26, 2019Luminary
I meant unplugging the router. Sorry. A little frustrated at this point.
- Netduma-FraserJan 26, 2019NetDuma PartnerIf you connect it via WiFi instead does it work better? Sounds like for some reason its communicating with the router correctly, could be the wired connection
- jeremyg237Jan 26, 2019Luminary
My sons xbox that is wifi has the same issue.
- Netduma-FraserJan 26, 2019NetDuma PartnerOkay, I'll pass this on to my team to have a look into.

Looks like I might of stumbled on to something. I was bored with a game I have been playing forever and decided to look at my games. Almost all of my ready to install games were missing. So I just searched for it in store and got it. Then I decided to take my xbox off of geo filter by deleting it and then went to QOS and deleted it from traffic prioritization. When I went back to look at more games in my ready to install area they were all back. Im thinking geo filter, but who am I. I am going to keep it all off tonight and try tomorrow if the xbox pops back up on device manager etc. Hopefully this helps the team.

Got up this morning and turned both the wireless and wired xbox on. Both did not show up on network monitor or manager. Once again I unplugged the router and then they were on network monitor and manager. Hope this info helps.

So to confirm, the only way you can see these devices is by restarting your router?
This may have been asked before, but the next time they do not appear, could you go to System Information and see if your CPU graph is maxed out? It's not likely to be, but worth checking. Thanks.
- jeremyg237Jan 28, 2019Luminary
Yes I have to unplug the reboot/unplug router.
The CPU was at 50

Thanks for sharing the logs but that all looks ok.
We will need to look into this - it's a tricky one though as we have not been able to replicate it ourselves.

Could this be something with the xbox code on the console? I've seen odd issues with different xbox consoles and how they are connected and use uPnP. Depending upon which one is turned on first. Also most seems like this is a xbox issue rather then a router issue.

- Netduma-FraserJan 29, 2019NetDuma PartnerCould be but the device manager doesn't necessarily go on ports when determining what device is actually connected

Ya I presumed. DM maybechecking ARP or HostName with Mac and IP addressing?
Netduma-Fraser wrote:

Now other devices are not showing as well. I was showing my wife what was going on and turned on the IPAD. I could connect to internet and go on sites etc but it did not show up as well.

Starting to think that maybe your unit is just bad. You might reach out to NG support and ask about a RMA:
