XR1000 NO INTERNET

Hi!

I have been having endless issues with the Wi-Fi connection to my XR1000.

My current internet connection is NBN HFC through Aussie Broadband. The issues I am experiencing include "NO INTERNET" through Wi-Fi devices and sometimes completely unable to connect to the router ("Unable to connect"). The router was working fine for the first couple of weeks then the issues started arising. I have tried multiple forums of trying to change settings with the router, and also trying and still on only 2.4ghz channel. The issues are temporarily fixed when I restart the router, but it is getting very annoying having to reset the router nearly every second day.

Hopefully, someone can help otherwise the router is going to have to be returned.

Re: XR1000 NO INTERNET

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Does the Internet LED turn amber when this happens?

Has a power off of the XR router for 30 seconds then back ON been performed?

Re: XR1000 NO INTERNET

The firmware of the Nighthawk XR1000 is V1.0.0.58 (latest update) - problem was occurring at previous firmware also.

The router is connected to the NBN ARRIS CM8200.

Re: XR1000 NO INTERNET

Thanks for confirming, could you please let me know if you factory reset the XR after upgrading the firmware? If not I'd suggest doing so.

Could you also please let us know if you require PPPoE, VLAN or DHCP identifiers to connect to the internet?

Re: XR1000 NO INTERNET

Yes. Factory reset has been completed multiple times.

Also, require DHCP.

Re: XR1000 NO INTERNET

Could you please go to Settings -> Setup -> LAN Setup and change the DHCP Starting IP address to 192.168.1.50.

Then, add a reserved IP address to the table at the bottom of that page for each device on the network struggling with connectivity.

Make sure each device is given an IP address between .1 and .49, such that they are not addresses included within the DHCP pool.
