XR1000 QOS for gigabit
So I have Xfinity internet with 1200 download and about 40-43 upload. I live in a smart home so I usually have 25 plus devices connected to the internet with only 4-5 of them being inactive on the net...

Okay keep us posted, if those changes don't help I'm sure we can think of some other things that may help, if not the new firmware shouldn't be far off now.

So far no help even with long distance servers. Tried almost everything so I don’t know what could be making my bufferbloat spike so much. Do you have any idea when the new duma firmware will be out for the xr1000? Any estimated release date?
- Netduma-FraserJun 05, 2023NetDuma PartnerWe don't give out any ETAs but it shouldn't be much longer. We'll be doing a big DPI update as well soon which may actually help as well.
- Rome916Jun 05, 2023AspirantI hope it is soon. Now currently I am looking at the asus GT-AX11000 pro. I’ve seen really good reviews for it’s QOS ability but I’m still having high hopes for the XR1000. I really want to love your guys’ duma software but so far it has been a huge let down on my end. I don’t know if it’s because I have too many devices the xr1000 can handle or it’s just the software itself. All I know is I’m just left bamboozled with a QOS mess
- Netduma-FraserJun 05, 2023NetDuma PartnerAre you using IPv6, PPPoE or VLAN? If so that could be causing QoS to not be as effective which might explain the problem
- Rome916Jun 05, 2023AspirantI’m using dhcp as I have a cable connection with Xfinity and no I have ipv6 turned off.
- Netduma-FraserJun 06, 2023NetDuma PartnerIt might be best to factory reset and just make changes to Congestion Control without changing anything else out of the ordinary to see if it's a misconfigured setting
- Rome916Jun 06, 2023AspirantI actually did try that before I came to these forums. But for now I will shelf my xr1000 until the new duma firmware comes out.

Can you please post the two log pages for the CM modem so we can review that please. Lets make sure the modem is to spec.
- Rome916Jun 06, 2023AspirantI sure will. Right now I am at work so I will provide a screen shot of the modem event log when I get home.

- Rome916Jun 09, 2023AspirantSo an update. I decided to purchase one of Asus’s newest gaming routers (GT-AX11000 Pro). The QOS bandwidth limiter has worked phenomenally. Simple set up and I was getting consistent A+ plus bufferbloat grades. I don’t know if it’s there firmware but it seems to work very impressively for my connection line. Obviously I would’ve loved this type of performance from you duma guys but unfortunately with all the efforts I made to ensure I can get an optimal gaming experience. It just didn’t work out. Hopefully in the future I can come back to you guys as I really love your guys software features such as geo filtering.

Would have been nice to see the modems logs that were requested. But since you've moved on, Enjoy.
Good Luck.

- Rome916Jun 09, 2023AspirantOh yes speaking of that. I checked my event logs and I was getting some error called dynamic range violation. Before the new router I was receiving critical errors like something timeout something along those lines. I haven’t been getting any internet connection losses or anything of that sort so I don’t know what those critical errors mean.

Anything could effect any router downstream.
Good luck. - Rome916Jun 09, 2023AspirantThanks man. I appreciate you guys trying to help but sadly buying a whole new router is what I had to go towards. Hopefully duma os will be further optimized. But I will say I am staying away from netgear routers from now on lol.
