XR1000 won't connect to the internet through a DM200 modem
Hi all, got a headscratcher here.
My XR1000 can't connect to the internet when my DM200 is plugged into the WAN port. The DM200 is confirmed to be working when it's LAN port is plugged into my laptop, and I can access it's admin page and all that jazz.
But I plug in the LAN cable into my XR1000, and the XR1000 refuses to connect to the internet. The DM200 still has the green WAN LED indicating the internet is good, but the XR1000 is only giving me the orange "no internet" LED.
The XR1000 is aware that it's plugged in, as I can see it on the network map, but no dice.
Bit of further technical info:
Static addresses
XR1000 - 192.168.0.1
XR1000 #2 - 192.168.0.2 - Will eventually be set up as an AP
DM200 - 192.168.0.3
Raspberry Pi DNS - 192.168.0.254
Tried the DM200 in Modem Only mode, in Modem+Router mode, and in Modem Only with VLAN passthrough enabled. No dice.
Changed the subnet of the DM200 from it's default x.x.5.x range to the x.x.1.x range the rest of my network uses.
Tried keeping the DM200 on it's default x.x.5.1 internal address, but also didn't connect.
The admin page for the DM200 is unreachable on it's internally assigned address of x.x.0.3 when plugged into the XR1000. Plugged into a laptop directly, the DM200 responds as you'd expect at that address.
XR1000 admin page is accessible just fine at x.x0.1.
Raspberry Pi has a static address assigned for the DM200 at x.x.0.3. Flushed the DCHP leases in-case something was grabbing the reserved address before I reserved them.
ISP connection settings (DHCP option 60+61) are the same between the DM200 and XR1000, though as the XR1000 doesn't have a modem I don't know if that does anything.
Other oddities:
The clock on the XR1000 is woefully out of date, reading as December 3rd, 2020. With no ability to connect to the internet through the DM200, it can't update. Wondering if that has anything to do with it.
The DM200 is running latest firmware, XR1000 is running 1.0.0.44. Can't connect to the internet so can't update.

- Generally rebooting the modem, waiting a few minutes then rebooting the XR and waiting a few minutes should work.
You can download the latest firmware here: https://kb.netgear.com/000065541/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-68 then access the XR and can upgrade manually without the internet from Settings > Administration > Firmware Update.Rebooting didn't work, still have that orange LED.
- Try doing the upgrade and once complete a factory reset after that and see if it works
