XR500 - Connection Drops caused possibily by DHCP

I'm having a hard time with my XR500. I'm on the latest firmware V2.3.2.134 - I also performed a factory reset and I have constant connection drops. I think that the cause could be DHCP.

Thanks for your support

In LAN Settings, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects.

Re: XR500 - Connection Drops caused possibily by DHCP

Thanks for your quick reply!

Do you mean setting the IP address manually in the router or on the PC/Device?

Anyway, I have around 50 devices connected to my house, and it would be crazy setting manually the IP config on all of them.

This seems like a workaround and not an actual fix, I'm not expecting this quality on a high-end router like this.

Thanks

Re: XR500 - Connection Drops caused possibily by DHCP

On the router itself, you could just do it for the devices you notice it occur on for the moment. The latest update has fixed it for most people so NG will need to take a closer look at it but yes that is a workaround and no other known solutions than that at present

Re: XR500 - Connection Drops caused possibily by DHCP

I'm on the last firmware so I don't think is fixed unfortunately 😞

I've put my PC on 192.168.1.16 and set the DHCP range to start from .50 on the router. So this should fix this issue at least on my PC?

Re: XR500 - Connection Drops caused possibily by DHCP

Yes it should do, just give the PC a reboot so it definitely gets that IP address and doesn't still retain the previous one
