XR500, I can't get an Mitel IP Phone to work with the Router
Hi guys I have a Netgear XR500 Gaming Router, the problem I'm having is I hooked a Mitel 5320e IP phone to the router so my wife could work from home. The phone says it's "searching for the Server" but never connects, I can bypass the router and hook it to the modem and it works, any suggestions on what I can try on the router? Thanks in advance for any help.

What modem/gateway do you have?
that can be key. If its a combo device, it can cause a double nat and the phone might not work with double nats well.

Hi thanks for the reply, the modem is a Spectrum Brand as they are also the ISP and no it's not a combo device.

it sure could be a modem only. tough to tell without a model though.
