XR500 Port Forwarding

Howdy! I am stumped after being at this most of a week. I am trying to open a couple ports through my Nighthawk XR500 V2.3.2.134 running DumaOS. When I use the grc Shield's Up scanner, it shows all (every one) of my ports as 'Stealth' even though I've 'opened' in the router. For context without specifics I have a Mac mini running macOS 14.5 ethernet connected to the XR500. I assigned the Mac a static IP. In Port Forwarding of the router, I added custom service both udp/tcp on port xxxxx for that IP. I've rebooted everything in sequence. Yesterday I spoke with Spectrum to ask about a double NAT issue (I only have a modem from them not a combo) and they said I'd have to reach out to the router community. Any thoughts?
I've managed to use my service if I'm running behind a VPN with port forwarding but I can't get anything if I don't run the VPN and I'd rather not have the VPN in front of the service.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's either or. uPnP works in most configurations. Specialized configurations, needs to be disabled.

Re: XR500 Port Forwarding
Just to add some information/confusion. Attached images. Port showing open in my test application though on canyouseeme it's error closed and on grc it's stealth. Also router view for port forward on internal IP.

Re: XR500 Port Forwarding
*** have got to be ******* KIDDING me!! All that because of UPnP.... First test says THANK YOU THANK YOU. While I have you, one stupid question - something like iCloud Private Relay - will that inherently block PF due to mismatch WAN? Thanks again!

Re: XR500 Port Forwarding
Anything is possible. Something to test with it enabled or disabled. I've keep iCloud enabled for most of my Apple devices, I only disable WIFI Private IP address on Apple devices while at home. Same goes for any Android devices. Seems like these mfrs along with Windows now have MAC Address randomizers enabled by default which seems to cause odd problems for users at home. IMO, this is not needed while at home. Out side and travelling yes have it enabled.
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: XR500 Port Forwarding
Well that seems to have fixed the PF issue. Thank you so much!
On to the next thing if you would - Hybrid VPN. I have uploaded my VPN config file (using Torguard). The router says it connects. whatismyip changes the external ip. However, I can't seem to figure out how to say do this, not that. I am testing running the Hybrid while allowing service on a forwarded port 50268. The port shows open when the Hybrid is not engaged. But closed on both VPN IP/Normal WAN when engaged.
Can you help me separate my traffic please?

Re: XR500 Port Forwarding
Not well experienced with Hybrid VPN. There maybe others that are and hope they post. Look up any VPN information here to start I guess.
