XR500 Whitelist ?

Where is the Whitelist Option ?

Before i bought this router i looked for this option and it was explained in the manual,

at the new manual i cant find it anymore !?

MAC address for WiFi access? MAC address for Internet access? Game players in the wild Internet? Gamer servers in the Internet?

You can use the blacklist to block devices but there's no whitelist.

When i looked for a new router i looked in the discription and manual of the XR500 and this options was available,

now i bought one and it isn't ... dont undertand that ...

I dont want a Blacklist, i always worked with whitelists on my WiFi Router even my 20 Year old Netgear has this option.

I've one more security step with a safe WiFi Password and Whitelist 😞

Could you show me where you saw that it had a whitelist? Maybe it's talking about a feature i've forgotten about.

I looked in the manual. The only reference to "whitelist" is regarding the Geo-Filter. This lets you stop players from being blocked when they otherwise would be.

I did a litte more research to find the old manual .. did find it but i'm not the only one who did read it  !!!

That thread seems to suggest that it's an ineffective solution.

Anyway it doesn't have MAC address whitelisting. Maybe they'll add the feature back in if they can get it working better.

I dont think so, how can it be inefficient to have a safety step more ?

MAC Blacklist is safe ?

If my MAC gets blocked i use another one !! Every router can clone or set a random MAC.

Whitelist can set who is allowed, to find out a MAC is harder than use a random one !!

Hope this feature is coming back soon,

I'am really disappointed about that missing option !!
