XR500 as wireless ethernet bridge
I want to setup my XR500 as a wireless ethernet bridge.
Why? Becuase I have an XR500 and 4 devices that do not have WiFi adapters in a room that I can't run a wire.
I know I could use a cheaper router to do this, but I already have an XR500.
I don't need to use the wi-fi on my XR500, except to brigde to another router.
(If I could run a wire, I would use a 5 port Gb switch)
Netgear has instructions for how to set up a router in bridge mode:
https://kb.netgear.com/24105/What-is-bridge-mode-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Nighthawk-router
But I think these instructions are not for the XR500.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: XR500 as wireless ethernet bridge
Hi engineeringDynamo,
That KB instructions is not for the XR500. You can see on the right of the page that it lists all the devices that those instructions go to.

Re: XR500 as wireless ethernet bridge
Yes, thank you. I know.
I should have stated that I am aware those instructions are for other routers more clearly in my original post.

Re: XR500 as wireless ethernet bridge
In my defense, the KB article does have "Nighthawk" in the URL:
https://kb.netgear.com/24105/What-is-bridge-mode-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Nighthawk-router
and this is in there: "Installing your Nighthawk router as a bridge offers the following benefits:"
The XR500 is a nighthawk router.
So I thought maybe it might apply.

Netgear support answer:
There is no current option to set the XR500 to wireless ethernet bridge. For now, it only applies to several models. However, you can submit an ideas using the link below.
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Idea-Exchange-For-Home/idb-p/idea-exchange-for-home
l just bought:
NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Desktop WiFi Range Extender (EX7000-100NAS)
I think this will be an easy to setup wireless ethernet bridge.
