XR700 and S8000 Set up settings
I am going to be setting up a XR700 with a S8000. Are there any specific settings I need to change for this to work properly or is it just plug and go? Set up will be Modem to XR700 to S8000.

Re: XR700 and S8000 Set up settings
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
The S8000 also has QoS I believe. It's recommended to use either the QoS features on the XR router or the S8000 switch however not at the same time.
Review this for optimal settings:

Re: XR700 and S8000 Set up settings
Regarding modem router combo units, Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. <I believe you'll need to configure this option.

Re: XR700 and S8000 Set up settings
Yes the Pace 5286 does require the DMZ option. I have been through solving that issue before. Thanks for your help.
