I have a Nintendo Switch but it is not even on - it is actually dead and has been for weeks.  ANY ROUTER THAT DOES NOT FIRST DO NO HARM IS A LIABILITY and not an asset.  Changing a device type in device manager should not make the router treat that device differently in any way - it should only exist for labeling purposes.

 

It has been 6 days since I reset the XR700 and added my DHCP reservations for every device.  That has helped it to last more than a day - but not much past 6 days it appears.  I now am getting the R-Apps not loading issue again.  I bought this thing in December and ever since, it has been a headache.  I called Amazon and they are waiting on hold for me to talk to Netgear.  We were #28 in one queue and then we had to join a different (Nighthawk) queue after the Amazon rep spoke to someone.

 

An update/fix for this should be immediate.

Once again, I am back on the forum. It may not be a surprise but once again i have troubles with my €500 router.

I have patched, updated and reset my router but AGAIN i have problems loading my R-Apps...

Im really getting annoyed by this and if this problem persists i am forced to bring it back to the store.

Even though the official warranty is expired, this is a NON FUNCTIONAL router and they are forced to take it back and i will be refunded for the full amount.

Sorry to hear you're having the issue again .24 should have resolved that. I would recommend you sign up for the 3.0 beta so you can see if it's fixed there and if not it provides the perfect opportunity to provide feedback. I have subscribed for the 3.0 betá and i hope the first testers can test in the very near future.

I will leave my router as it is at the moment. I have no time/patience to re-do all configs i've made again.

I tried the changing loading attemps to 5. And the only time I can access app features is a few minutes after I reboot the router.

I'd suggest upgrading to that firmware again using this method, and then doing a factory reset. That will make it a completely fresh version and should hopefully resolve that. https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
