Xr500 login help

Question

Hi guys&nbsp;I have the xr500 was all set up working (not great by the way)&nbsp; but have since changed computers and when i try and download the latest firmware it says the file is corrupted or it thinks its a disc.&nbsp;I also tried routerlogin.net with admin and password and i cant get that to log in either.&nbsp;&nbsp;any help appreciated.&nbsp;&nbsp;

You don't open the file after download.&nbsp;
After you download it, you extract it. then you follow the manual update process.&nbsp;

hi yes ive extracted but it just says image file.

correct it should be an img file or chk file.&nbsp;
You upload that to the router.&nbsp;

Log into your XR500 using the admin username and password.
Click&nbsp;Settings&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;Administration&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;Firmware Upgrade&nbsp;page.
Click&nbsp;Browser&nbsp;and locate the firmware image file.
Click&nbsp;Upload.
