Ok so Im looking to change my internet from BT to IDNET
IDNET says I need a VDSL2/FTTC router to use their service
Is the Nighthawk XR300 compatible?
If not I do have a Netduma R1 but think I will need a modem with VDSL2 capabilities
If I just get the XR300 will it work?

No, the XR300 is not a modem, you'll still need a modem.

I'm sure there's a Netgear modem available that does VDSL. Unfortunately there is no DumaOS product currently that contains a router, VDSL or otherwise.
