xr500 cant get back online after reset

i reset my router as it wasnt filtering for pc games as no servers where showing on the geofilter. i read online that a reset could be useful so i did this, once it reset it started the setup by first checking my internet speed it next too me to a page that asked me to change admin settings, these being the password and the security questions. once i had set my new security questions and my password i clicked next and it came up with 400 bad request and wont let me get any further. i have since reset multiple times and also been trying for hours but it just seems like the same loop that i cannot get past? please help because i cant get onto the internet as it wont fully set up

The power outage may have caused the factory reset due to the sudden nature of turning off. It's not something we can really test for but if it hasn't happening before and only occurred when the power outage occurred I think it should be fine, do keep and eye out though.

I have this exact same issue, i did not have any power outage, i reset my router and now i cant get past the speed check. Exactally the same issue as OP described.

If you're connecting to the WiFi while completing the wizard and then changing the WiFi details in the wizard you will need to reconnect using the changed WiFi details and you should be able to complete it. Otherwise using ethernet should get you through the wizard without issue.

I got the same problem cant get passen the speedtest. If I full out the Password and security questions then the error 400 pops up and cannot du anything

Are you seeing this issue across all browser? What about from an incognito window? Do you know what firmware you're currently running?

Did you perform a factory reset after upgrading to the latest beta firmware? This is often recommended to make sure the firmware is starting from a clean slate.

Yes I did run a reset to factory settings.
Is there a way to hard reset the router I did the 30 seconds one.
It's seems to remember the settings still

If possible we'd suggest doing the factory reset through the interface rather than with the button on the back.

Did you have to go through the initial setup again after using the pin method?

That's not possible because iam stuck in the password section and afther that the message error 400 shows up.
Did the 30.30.30 method just know and no results so iam out of options thx leen

In future, I'd suggest you don't use the 30,30,30 method, it's very aggressive and is a quick way to brick a router.

Out of interest, could you please download the Nighthawk App on your mobile device and see if you're able to set-up the router through this?

In what way is the app already in use? I'm not sure I understand, do you have another Nighthawk router in your network?

sorry about that i had the app already installed on my phone and it keeps saying logging in with username and password, its not giving me the option to select a new device to ad
