GS116NA vs GS316 What is better
Looking for a 16 port switch for home use (internet, xbox, tv, hue, alexa, etc.) Comparing GS116 to GS316. Here are my questions:
1. Is GS116NA the same as GS116v2? If not, what is the difference?
2. Why is the GS316 ($40) half the price of the GS116NA ($90)?
3. Will I notice a difference in performance/speed depending on which one I choose?
Thank you

The GS116NA is a GS116 switch in a packaging intended for the North American market (power supply, leaflet). Based on what is e.g. offered (or shown) on Amazon (like NETGEAR 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS116NA) Impossible to say if this is the earlier hardware (v1) or the newer hardware (v2) ... as it is from the official Amazon Netgear Store I would expect you would get the current GS116v2 hardware, as a GS116-200NAS. FWIW the European or global (don't know) was sometimes referred as GS116GE. These online-stores often shown a decade(s) old data sheet instead of the current one 5-port, 8-port, and 16-port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switches Data Sheet GS105v5, GS108v4, GS116v2
The GS316 does represent the 16 port unit of the even newer lower cost series released late 2019 priced competitively for the SOHO market. SOHO Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switches Data Sheet 300 Series Price difference is related to constantly lowering switch chip sets, lower BOM, ...
Features and performance should be similar.
