R9000 - Bottlenecked upload on MBP18
R9000 with Gigabit internet, pulls 950mbps from the wall.
MacBook Pro 2018 connects to 5g and pulls 250mbps/10mbps
MacBook Pro 2016 right next to it on the same 5g pulls 500mbps/35mbps
iPhone XS next to both of those laptops on 5g pulls 500mbps/10mbps
I've tried flashing firmwares. Multiple factory resets. Debug.html.
This router seems to have an issue with the gigabit speed. Has anyone else fixed anything like this?

Re: R9000 - Bottlenecked upload on MBP18
wireless isn't going to hit gigabit speeds.
most wireless devices are either a 1x1 or 2x2 anteanna solution. Meaning their link speed roughly 433mbps or 866mbps.
there's also a difference between link speed and throughput speed (actual speed). Its roughly a 55-65% difference between the 2.
Hitting 500mbps over wireless is doing pretty good.
Take a read through of a tested review of it for a comparison.
