Still dropped connections, but not as bad. With lack of Netgear support waiting for 6 months, decided to solve the issue with a Tp-link.

Exactly ! I had to do the same as well. With work from home and virtual school, reliability on internet is much more critical that it was before. Frequent dropping of wireless and need of restart was causing lot of disturbances. I had to switched to tp-link Deco M9+. I never had to change my router within less than a year. This is really unacceptable.

Now I'm not saying 100% that this problem is corrected but ever since I updated firmware to V1.0.3.88_1.0.1 (about 4 days ago) I haven't had a single wifi drop (knock on wood).
