CAnnot log in to router at all with all methods listed in help pages - ?
192.168.1.1
192.168.0.1
plus the routerlogin.net etc
nothing working =- already connected via ethernet

Very vague. Your computer does receive a network config from the router DHCP server? What IP address does the computer have? What default gateway addess is shown on the computer? Does the Sign-in for username and password prompt show up? Or does some Internet security **** block the submission of the basic HTML AUTH because you try using http?

This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.1 refused to connect.
That is default gateway
IP4 192.168.1.105 - doesnt connect either and the 2 written addresses that Netgear suggest dont work - my computer is wired connection to the router with HUb3 in modem mode
