Extending the AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router
Hey folks I just purchased a NEW AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router. I would like to know if there is a way to EXTEND the WiFi signal even farther than what its capable of doing by adding a WiFi extender.
If there is a way- Do I simply get a Netgear Extender, and does it have to be techered via Cat 5 to the Base Router, in this case my new AX6000 OR can it connect via the Exisitng WiFi signal to then BOOST it further for example the backyard, or shed in the backyard.
What Netgear products are recomended for doing so?

Re: Extending the AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router
You can do it either way. and most extenders (not all) you can use either extender or access point mode.
So try them both and see which works better for your purpose.
Just an fyi, the "mesh" extenders don't function in mesh mode when their hardwired in.
If you're wanting to keep the whole network AX, there's the EAX20 or EAX80

Great advise thank you. Whats the difference between 4 stream and 8 stream based on the two AX devices - EAX20 and EAX 80

Re: Extending the AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router
Main difference?
EAX20: 5ghz speed is 1.2gig
EAX80: 5ghz speed is 4.8gig.
That's link rate, not actual throughput
