Old router was a Linksys EA7300 connected fine. How should th XBox be set to connect to new RAX45? or how should router be set to connect to XBox? Please keep it non-tech easy. I'm new at this kinda stuff. learning as I go. Thx

"will not" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
A clear description of what _does_ happen would be more useful
than a vague description of what "will not" happen.
Is this a wired (Ethernet) "will not connect" or a wireless "will not
connect", or what, exactly?
Do other devices work as expected?

Read the instructions for the Xbox?

I wouldn't expect any special settings to be needed for the new
router, but, if you're replacing one router with another, then you might
want to configure the wireless security stuff on the new router to match
that on the old router.
Here's a radical concept which helps some people:

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Specify basic WiFi settings".

All of which assume that the Xbox is connected to the router. If you
don't have the basic connection working, then it's all useless to you.
