NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

So I am having trouble setting up 2 Xbox’s on a nighthawk router. I ran 2 cat 6 to a switch that is running to the router. It shows I have a wired connection but I’m not getting connectivity. I am getting a report that says “Service info is unavailable” and “xbox.com/xboxone/teredo. I checked that DHCP is enabled. Tried to give it a static IP but it doesn’t show up in devices. I have a feeling it is the switch that I’m connected to, it is connected to router by Ethernet to a phone line module. I guess that’s how Comcast runs their internet, any suggestions? Also there are 2 Unifi Access points on the switch and they work just fine.

Connected by ethernet to a phone line module?

What is this phone line module?

Everything works at the router?

How is the router connected to the switch?

The wire that is connecting the router to the switch, does that work?

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

It is actually a data hub that the switch is connected to that runs back to the router. Everything works except the Xbox’s

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

Do one of the xbox's work directly connected to the data hub? without the switch?

You realize that that is a fast ethernet switch. Just a 10/100mbps switch and not gigabit.

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

I got one of the Xbox’s to work(Xbox one S) but I could not get the other to work. It is an original, I’m not sure if that has something to do with it

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

so only 1 works directly connected to the hub?

Do they work directly connected to the router?

(you can snag ethernet cable for pretty cheap thats long enough to run temporarily)

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

It’s connected to the switch that is running on the hub. The other Xbox says service info is unavailable and it’s only reading ipv4, and the way that is ran I can not plug directly into the router

Re: NetGear NightHawk RAX50S

Start back at basics.

What modem/gateway do you have?

You have the RAX50S as a router.

Do both xboxs work if you hardwire them directly to the router?

If that works, Then test each directly attached to the hub. 1 at a time.

Then test the switch.

you need to figure out where the point of failure is coming from
