I bought the Nighthawk AX4 yesterday and it setup without any issues. The SSID shows up on every single device (all phones, other laptops, PS4) and connects without any issues except for my laptop (2016 Asus GL502VY). Here's a current list of things I've tried: updating network drivers, reinstalling network drivers, manually adding the SSID, flushing and renewing the DNS, resetting the router and modem multiple times, checking for updated software on my laptop, and a few more things. I've checked the router setttings, and the SSID is being broadcasted, not hidden. I can connect my laptop directly to the router via ethernet, but that isn't a solution as the router has to be in a separate room. I tried to register the product on the Netgear support site in order to speak with customer service, but I was constantly given an error message, which makes it impossible to contact them.
Any advice would be awesome, as the only reason I even bought this router was for this laptop.

Killer AC 1535 (Quallcomm Atheros QCA6174A) or some Intel Wireless AC interface? The Inhells are known to fail to connect to Wi-FI 6 access points if not updated to the latest and greatest drivers.

Glad it helpded - which one of the two was it causing the problem?
The big notbook makers are massively behind in making current Wi-Fi drivers avilable - no matter if it's e.g. Asus or Dell ... very painful - on thier "official" download for the specific models.
