Nighthawk AX5700 RAX75

I purchased the new RAX75 router from costco to replace my 5 month old night hawk x6s router.

On my old router I was getting close to 150 thats 147 to be an estimate what im paying for.

The new router getting 120 megs and thats not acceptable for me and I want to be able to find a fix please before I send it back in the mail to costco ?

How are you measuring those speeds?

What firmware version do you have on the device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router. The model number could be useful.

Apologies for all the questions. But you can help people to help you by providing the information suggested in this forum's header:

Subject (Include model number and brief summary)
Model (Recommended - Helps the community give the best answers)
Body (Include additional detail including model version, firmware, OS and environment where relevant.)

They are there for a good reason.

Via Speedtest.net and night hawk app

modem is arris 3m3200

after updating the channels I got 149.81 up and 10  download megs wired connect

and WiFi 145-144 upload and download 9,81 megs

not sure if it's running properly before I buy the extend warranty from Netgear.

That's what you think, but without a number we can't be sure (see above).

Not something I can find in Googleland.

How many LAN ports on the back.

Is that Speedtest.net wired or wifi?

The Nighthawk app is not a reliable guide.

Probably a modem router.

Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.

This explains some of the other drawbacks.

I suggest a bit of research on your part. Especially into the use of this modem with a router.

It is hard to say much more given your minimalist replies.

It's just a regular modem that has no WiFi.
