RAX 120 new firmware 1.0.2.136 (looks like the last update but its not)

There is a new firmware for the RAX120 its easy to miss as its 1.0.2.136 and the last update was 1.0.1.136. release notes are just security Vulnerabilities yet again.

since the update a few nights ago... my 2.4G Kasa devices wont connect to the router. I roll the router back to v1.0.1.122 and all works again... and even though i have auto update firmware set as DISABLE.... it keeps updating it to 1.0.2.136 each night.... and then my Kasa devices are offline again.

I would suggest a factory reset and set up manually dont using 1.0.2.136 dont restore from a saved image. My RAX120 didnt update on its own when set to disabled, a factory reste can do wonders when glitches occur. I have no issues with 2.4 or 5Ghz on the new firmware. When disbaling auto update make sure to press apply, sounds silly but easy to miss. Also if you still have issues try turning off PMF but after a reset using the pinhole at the back, hold for about 30 seconds ish it hopefully will sort that issue out.

Due to typos and no edit function I meant use 1.0.2.136 the update that came out this week and do what I suggested in my post. Sorry for the "dont" not sure where that came from.

Assuming that Access Control is enabled, it may be prudent for users to inspect their list of allowed/blocked devices, after updating the RAX120 firmware to version 1.0.2.136.  I noticed that one device with a reserved IP address had unexpectedly changed from “allowed” to “blocked” after the update.

That's why I always factory reset and set up again manually never using a saved config, also I personally don't use that feature as its just MAC filtering which is so easy to spoof its not worth wasting the CPU cycles on in my view. A very strong password is much more effective.
