RAX40 - Using same wireless name
I know this has been discussed with other routers, but can we confirm that having the 2.4G anf 5G bands as the same SSID name OK? It appears to work OK and I see things like my printer connected to 2.4G and my Google mini's connected to 5G. My DirecTV hubs (Genie) connect to 2.4G. My Android's connect to 5G.
I have tons of IoT devices and dont want to manage two distinct SSID names... I've been using the same "Wireless1" SSID for over a decade.
From what I gather, its OK but some 5G devices may just pick 2.4G.

kenyu73 - You're certainly correct! The client will decide which band to connect to. Having the same SSIDs seems to be working great for you. Feel free to provide another update!
