RAX50 is so disappointing
Very Disapointed in these RAX50 and 80 Models; they were slower thank my previous D-Link AC rounter at three times the price and whats worse they lack the features.
D-link could support multiple usb devices via a hub; Netgear only sees one drive.
D-link allowed me to create seperate usernames for network share access; Netgear uses admin creds ????
D-link had SSL access to the web GUI; Netgear does unencrypted HTTP (80) on internal network; as if you could not have an infected device on the network sniffing traffic ?
Old D-link AC router managed 2x the speed even tho Netgear RAX50 is faster on paper.
Also most open source firmware allows you way more flexibility on configuration for advanced users. Wifi, USB etc.
in any case Netgear really needs to work on their software it seems that the hardware is ok but firmware they are not so great.
So for now ill be returning this junk, because its not worth $300 and maybe next year Netgear will focus on improving quality of their firmware.
