RAX80 Firmware Version 1.0.1.64 -Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4 GHz
RAX80 Firmware Version 1.0.1.64 says:
Bug Fixes:
...
- Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4 GHz channel is set to Auto.
Uh waht - this does not make any sense to me. @Christian_R please?

I'd have to agree. I usually recommend 1-6-11 for people with 2.4ghz congestion problems.

Re: RAX80 Firmware Version 1.0.1.64 -Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4
Incidentally, when channel 1 is active, nothing can connect to the 2.4ghz channel.
Is it a bug in the release notes or a bug in the router they were trying to prevent with this change?
Either way, channel 1 is still used in auto mode.

Hello Everyone,
The following 2.4GHz channels will no longer be used when set to auto. However, you will still have the option to select channels 1,6, and 11 but will need to be done manually.

@Christian_R what is the idea behind this (strange) design change?
Does the same apply to EU versions for the channels 1, 7, and 13 then?

Re: RAX80 Firmware Version 1.0.1.64 -Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4
Why should the the channels 11, 12, and 13 (as per the release notes) be masked? Sorry, this makes zero sense to me. And the incomplete and changing information coming frok Netgear is concerning at.least. @Christian_R

Re: RAX80 Firmware Version 1.0.1.64 -Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4
Hello schumaku and GabboCH,
2.4GHz AUTO Channel will give top priority to select 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 (EU) and if the these channels are not available it will select Ch 6 & 13 and if these channels are occupied it will select Ch 1 & 11.
The reason for NOT selecting Ch 1 & 11 in NA was due to FCC Band Edge Transmit Power limitation.
Regards,
Christian
