Century Link came in and hooked up a dual band modem WiFi CZ3000 and turned off WiFi on both bands. Now cannot connect nighthawk app to my router because it says it can't find the wifi. I need to bridge the modem to the router, but the nighthawk app says it does not work in bridged format. Is there a way around this problem?

The minute you add wireless to a modem, you need something handling routing.
so you either have a modem or a combo device.
You potentially can put the CZ3000 in passthrough/modem only mode. I'd contact centurylink for the best way to set that up on their device.

You can switch the router over to access point mode.
You loose out on some of the features of router mode but it keeps you out of a double nat.

Would like to keep the features if I can. Is there such a thing as dual band modem without a router that would work with Century link DSL. Could find nothing on Google?
